Project info

We partnered with Rae & Co to deliver a bespoke, accessible eCommerce site for Spinning World of Autism, helping raise awareness and provide resources around Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).

Utilising WooCommerce, a tailored basket, checkout and purchase notification process has been developed. Meta Pixel has been connected for Ads, and coupons have been created to help drive sales. Downloadable resources (both free and paid) have been added. New resources can be published to the site within 60 seconds.

Event listings have been created using a custom post type in the dashboard, making it super easy for the client to list upcoming webinars. The contact forms have been hard-coded to reflect the design of the site.

A blog has been added alongside category filtering to help users find useful content. The site has been carefully constructed to help it rank for all things AAC-related. Towards the footer you will find an embedded Instagram feed (drop them a follow!) and newsletter signup (Mailchimp integration). Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console have both been connected to track performance.

Subtle animations have been added to bring creative flair to the site, without damaging accessibility. Speaking of which, an accessibility button has been added to the bottom-right of the site. This allows users to change the site colours, font types, contrast, page structure (and more) to help navigate the site where there may be additional needs. Animations can be disabled, images can be hidden, and links can be highlighted.
